Here at Self Help4U we have developed a unique video based self help program which offers you the opportunity to learn some highly effective techniques designed to help manage and overcome the symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress related conditions. You will be learning some Cognitive Behavior Therapy techniques (known as CBT) together with Mindfulness and conscious awareness techniques. When used together, these three very powerful therapeutic tools can greatly contribute to a significant reduction in your symptoms, especially when you have mastered them and are practicing them on a daily basis.
As you may know there is a vast body of research supporting the effectiveness and success of CBT when treating the symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress related conditions. In fact, due to its success it is and has been the treatment of choice used by many mental health professionals around the world for several decades. Added to this, there is also a substantial and mounting body of newer research supporting the combination of CBT and Mindfulness techniques which, when used together greatly enhance the on-going success of CBT.
Here at Self Help4U we have utilized Mindfulness training and taken it a step further when teaching CBT techniques. We have added Conscious Awareness training which is a very powerful and effective aid to both the CBT and Mindfulness work.
Conscious awareness uses mindfulness to help focus your attention on HOW to consciously recognize, question, test and challenge those negative automatic thoughts, emotions and behaviors associated with depression, anxiety and stress related conditions. It then teaches you how to be consciously aware enough to correct these errors in thinking and behavior. Using the combination of CBT, Mindfulness and Conscious Awareness, you have an ideal opportunity to greatly increase your ability to control your symptoms, rather than them controlling you.
